RTI (RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT), 2005

(Act No. 22 of 2005)

         The Right to Information Act, 2005, enacted by the Parliament of India, came into effect on 15th June 2005. This Act empowers citizens to access information under the control of public authorities to promote transparency and accountability in their functioning.

           As per the provisions of the Act, all Universities and Colleges established by law made by Parliament, State Legislatures, or notified by the appropriate Government, or those owned, controlled, or substantially financed directly or indirectly by Government funds, are classified as "Public Authorities."

        S.G.A. Government Degree College, Yellamanchili, being a public authority under the Act, ensures compliance with its provisions. Citizens can seek information regarding the activities of the college by submitting a written request. The request should include the following details:
